The Craps Lesson Newsletter Vol X, Issue I
November 2006

Dear Craps Enthusiasts,

I’ve been playing a lot of craps with clients lately and I have to tell you: we’ve been catching some pretty unbelievable rolls! I can’t actually say that it’s because we’ve been playing at one of my favorite places or it’s just been lick, but for whatever reason, it definitely has been happening.

If you’re coming to Las Vegas soon, or even if you know somebody who’s coming this direction, I’d advise you to get in touch with Margaret so you can make an appointment as soon as possible; as long you contact her about a week in advance, you should be able to secure an appointment.

Since we lowered the price of the book to $99, many more people have been purchasing the information, which is probably part of the reason for more people booking appointments these days. For whatever reason, it’s good to see more and more people getting the true information concerning how to take the best possible advantage of the situation, once they’re standing at the craps table when some luck show up.

Being able to take maximum advantage at a craps table when come luck show up equates to winning as much money as possible throughout an entire roll. The Craps Lesson does in fact explain that so you’ll be able to be in control of winning larger amounts of money than the vast majority of people ever dreamed of. However, I do have to tell you there are a few “tricks of the trade” that I teach people on a personal basis mostly because it would be too confusing to try to convey this procedure in black and white. To make a long story short, it allows one to make thousand dollar collections pretty quickly, while not starting with real high bets to being with.

Then there is the timing factor: timing is the greatest factor of a craps table except for the knowledge of what to do exactly when that lucky moment arrives. Which is precisely what we teach you, of course!

Once you’re at a craps table, possessing the ability to control the situation in a manner which will yield very high payoffs is probably the greatest feeling one can derive from the craps arena. In all reality, it is pretty funny to see the loon on all the other people’s faces who were playing at the very same table you were, as you’re collecting thousands and they’re just standing there making minimum bet after minimum bet.

It’s a lot like the ol’ “Luck and Knowledge” story. I’ll make a deal with you: if you bring the first one, I’ll teach you the other! This is precisely what we do, of course.

So give us a call to make an appointment, and bring a little luck with you when you step off that jet! I’ll personally teach you the rest.

Hope to see you soon,

Gene and Margaret - The Craps Teacher

Follow-up To Worst Bet Number Four - Odds

The October article on odds got such a great response that I figured I'd add a little more insight and information to the topic, instead of charging ahead to Worst Bet Number Three.

The following is my response to an e-mail from a Craps Lesson customer, and I think you'll get a kick out of it. It just reinforces our statements about how casino personnel lie to you and are not your friend.

Dear Tracy,

First, I'll give you an example from my experience as to why you should not go back to your previous strategy. I had $25 on the 4 and the point became 4. The dealer took my money off the 4 and put it on the pass line. "Whoa!" I said. "I want to leave that there." He told me that I was going to lose a dollar whenever the 4 hit because of the commission. Now with about two seconds of brain work, I knew that he was wrong.

$25 pays $50 when placed on the 4, but I have to pay a $1 commission; so I only win $49 However, $25 on the pass line pays $25 Now where am I "losing" a dollar? It looks to me like I'm gaining $24 Even if I put odds on the pass line bet, I would lose that $24 Sure the odds would pay more, but they are tied to the flat bet, whereby $25 wins $25, so I still lose the $24 that I would have received if I had left my $25 on the place bet.

Where the psychology comes in here is that when someone picks up their $25 flat bet on the pass line along with their $25 win, they feel like they've "won" $50 They have not won $50 They won $25 On the place bet, I win $49 for every $25 I bet. On the pass line, I win $25 for every $25 I bet. Again, the odds bet is immaterial to this fact. I win on the pass line if that's the point, and I win on the 4 (even if it's not the point!), but I win less on the pass line - period.

At any rate, thanks for writing. I often wonder how many people do what you do and don't write and ask question out of fear of "looking dumb". It is a powerful block that the casinos use to get people to make bad bets.

For example, in the story I told you above, not only did the dealer roll his eyes at me and go to great pains to explain to me how wrong I was, but when the stickman asked about my money still being on the 4 when the point was 4, he made some crack about having "tried to tell/educate" me, and then they both rolled their eyes at me!

I've had other customers have this same experience, and it is what is called "moving" the customer's bet. The dealers try to move you and see how much you know. If you don't know, then they can move you around to bets that are less advantageous to you. They are seeing what they can get away with and trying to show you how "smart" they are, with the assumption being that you are the idiot! It really burns me.

Thanks again for writing and good luck!

Sincerely,

Margaret

Here is what one of our recent clients had to say about their private lesson with Gene in Vegas:

When we booked an appointment with Margaret to have Gene take us right to a live craps table game for him to show us how to play the game the best way, we had no idea how it would turn out.

I knew what Gene looked like from seeing him on the DVD they had sent us, which was taken from the A&E Television program called Caesar’s 24/7. Then when we met and sat around talking, Gene explained exactly how everything works to us. After his thorough reiteration concerning our understanding that this was still gambling and we could still lose or win, we headed for the tables.

My wife had never gotten to be involved with me gambling because my usual sports betting just didn’t involve her. But ever since we had received The Craps Lesson, we had both read over it and talked out the scenarios with each other. She was genuinely interested in it before we ever even got to the craps table. Little did we know how excited she would get later!

Our immediate introduction to this craps world hit us right between the eyes with a flurry of 7’s. Not good. But we weathered the storm and two different times a $600 collection got us right back in the ball game.

One of those rolls came from my wife, Alyssa, so she was really getting into it now, since she was so much a part of it all. I have to admit, it’s also pretty amazing what Gene does with the money, or more precisely, exactly how he turns basically $15 bets into collections of hundreds!
