The Craps Lesson Newsletter Vol XXIV, Issue I
February 2008

Dear Craps Enthusiasts,

I don't know if anything changed during the Super Bowl weekend around your area or not, but things certainly change in Vegas at that time.

The minimums on the craps tables skyrocket! There were $50 tables, $100 tables and $200 tables in our usual casino. The Maximum remained the same; it's $25,000, which is precisely why we play there. But finding a table here you could get started with a bankroll of a couple of thousand was impossible.

It happens every year. All the casinos invite their high-rollers, which is free of course, as the entire town is filled with big money players.

Sad as it is, even though they have lots of money, they still don't know how to bet their money. And of course the casino massages their egos while they're there like they're geniuses before the head back home to wherever they come from, at which point in time the personnel laughs at how stupid they were, betting all that money in such an ignorant fashion.

Of course the pit bosses and the majority of the dealers (providing they've been there long enough to know what to do) know how to bet money at a craps table; but they certainly aren't telling them! The casinos and their employees play a phony game, but that deceitful maneuver is their method of playing it.

In the long run, I suppose it's the same old story: everybody gets what they deserve. I'm referring to those with the huge surplus of cash. It's rare to cross paths with such an individual who has an open mind about learning how to play the game of craps the best way possible Their egos have outrun their learning ability.

However, being able to start the game with hundreds bet is a huge advantage when there's a high limit and someone does know how to get to it while jeopardizing their own bankroll to a minimum degree.

When they come to me, I help them. Until then, they just have to continue playing poorly.

A guy called the other day who had already bought the book, which enabled him to play enough of course, but his situation was a fairly unique one. (At least I hope so anyway!) His local casino had a $200 maximum! No matter how long of a roll ever takes place in that spot, he's never going to be able to cash out with the serious money like someone who plays at a casino where the limit is in the thousands. That particular casino is simply not allowing any chance whatsoever of there being any major scores accomplished inside its doors!

If any individual has any choice at all in regard to where they gamble, the smart choice is by far the one with the highest limit. Of course you can still lost your money at that casino as well, but the ceiling is so much higher that when the luck does come along, you're able to use that higher limit to your advantage, resulting in a much higher profit. And those higher profits will drastically off-set a number of losses.

You do have to be wise enough to maneuver your way through these inside games the casinos incorporate into their rules, because they certainly take advantage every opportunity the can. Which is exactly why they raise the minimums so much while all of their invited high-rollers are in town all at once.

Games revolving around money... everyone needs to know the inside story; if not you just get taken advantage of—it's that simple.

I (Margaret) found this and have been betting it for about a month and a half.

WOW! is about all I can say. I'm up almost $1,500 and I'd be up $2,000 if I hadn't broken my discipline and bet on football! Shame on me is all I can say.

This group has done everything they said they would and more, including adding betting and money management options for those with a smaller starting bankroll.
